Bio

French, born in 1978 in France. Artist, musician and designer, live and work in Brighton (UK). Thomas’ work takes form of interactive art performances or installations, composing music, live music, code, design, website, videos, animations and everything else.

2000-2003 : Studied Art at the School of Art and Communication of Pau ( fr ). 2004-2005 : Studied Sound, Telematic Art, Interactivity and Art at the School of Art of Aix-en-Provence ( fr ).

Thomas’s art work is about contextualized sound, the presence of the body and mind in a physical and virtual space, and interactivity in public spaces. Thomas’ work often, but not exclusively, involve new technologies. He likes to work on in-situ projects involving the public.

The Sonic Body is a newly commissioned audio-installation that uses interactive
technology and textiles shapes to create an orchestra of the human body, with
sounds recorded from organs, muscles, veins and bones.

Sound and Music production for Ato’s ( Antonin Fourneau ) experimental psp game.
Oterp is a game prototype for PSP (a handheld game console by Sony), in which a
GPS sensor allows for the music to be manipulated in real-time, depending on the
player’s Earth-position. The player generates new melodies according to his
position.

Creation of Interactive environment for Stanley Douglas’ hypertable.
8=8 is a interactive performance on a 2mx2m multi-touch table. Each
Artists/programmers developed a rich and complex sound, interactive and graphical
interface to be played by the 4 performers at the same time.

Cuicui is concept band as well as a performance. The trio plays very loud some very violent music at a very heigh bpm in a very small space. CUICUI always take places in small box of 2 meter cube made of found carboard and wood. The experience is extreme, physical and very positive as the space is saturated with sound, people, smells, shouts and laughters. Band Member:Kiitchi ( Pierre Andrieux ), Jankenpopp ( Pierre-Erick Lefebvre ), Sober ( Thomas Michalak ).
